Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use multiple active ingredients together?
Some combinations work beautifully; others conflict. General guidelines: Vitamin C morning, retinol night. Niacinamide plays well with most actives. Don't combine multiple acids (AHA + BHA + retinol) without building tolerance. Consult our ingredient compatibility guide or contact us for personalized advice.
Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?
Most products are formulated for sensitive skin tolerance: fragrance-free, tested for irritation, free from common sensitizers. However, "sensitive skin" varies widely. We recommend patch testing, introducing products slowly, and starting with our Gentle Essentials line specifically designed for reactive skin. Some actives (retinoids, acids) may require gradual introduction regardless of sensitivity.
What makes your products different from drugstore brands?
Quality ingredients at effective concentrations. Drugstore brands often use token amounts of actives for marketing claims without therapeutic benefit. We formulate at percentages proven effective in research, use stable forms of ingredients (L-ascorbic acid vitamin C, not unstable derivatives), and maintain formulations at optimal pH for efficacy. Additionally: no harmful fillers, complete transparency, and sustainable practices.
Can pregnant or nursing mothers use your products?
Some products are safe; others should be avoided. Generally avoid: retinoids, salicylic acid (high concentrations), essential oils, certain actives. Safe options: vitamin C, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, gentle cleansers. Always consult your obstetrician or midwife before starting any new skincare during pregnancy or nursing. We clearly label products not recommended for pregnancy.
What's your return policy if a product doesn't work for me?
We accept returns on unopened products within 30 days. For opened products, if you experience adverse reaction or the product is defective, contact us within 14 days with photos and description—we'll work with you on exchange or refund. Skincare requires time to assess effectiveness (4+ weeks), but adverse reactions should be addressed immediately.
How should I store my products?
Cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Vitamin C and retinol are particularly sensitive to light and air—keep tightly closed. Some products (certain vitamin C formulas) may be refrigerated for extended stability. Avoid bathroom storage if your bathroom gets hot and steamy (degrades products faster).
